Ingredients required |
1. Masoor Dal (Red Lentil) – 1 cup, 150gms 2. Half an onion chopped into small pieces 3. 2/3 Garlic Cloves 4. 1 medium size tomatoes 5. 1 tsp. any Oil 6. 1 tsp. jeera 7. 1 tsp, tumeric 5. 1 tsp. salt 6. 450 ml water (reduce to 300 ml if you like it thicker) |
Cooking method |
1. Heat oil 2. Add jeera, once it sizzles add cut onion and saute 3. Add tomatoes, tumeric and saute for 2/3 mins 4. Add washed masoor dal and saute for 2 mins 5. Add water 6. Bring to boil 7. Cover and cook for 15 mins (till soft and of a consistency you like) |
Goes well will any staple like roti, rice etc
